About the position

Aspire Bakeries is a North American baking company with a leadership position in specialty frozen baked goods. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Analyst to join our team and drive operational excellence across our bakery operations. This pivotal role will be responsible for analyzing production data, leading process improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. The ideal candidate will be a change agent with strong analytical skills, capable of directing and coordinating activities around performance, quality controls, and KPI monitoring. In this role, you will contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational objectives with a bias for action. You will facilitate, sponsor, and lead Pillar and project teams, improving operational systems, processes, and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being. You will compile, record, and display production data, monitor and manage standard operating procedures, analyze production trends, and develop sustainable solutions in partnership with production leadership. Additionally, you will lead, train, and educate staff on process improvement methodologies and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Problem Solving, and Kaizen. Your responsibilities will also include managing logs of major events within production, ensuring accurate SAP reporting, and maintaining the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational objectives with a bias for action.
  • Be a change agent directing and coordinating activities around performance, quality controls, and KPI monitoring.
  • Facilitate, sponsor and lead Pillar and project teams and be a champion of the Aspire Operations Excellence program, improving operational systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being.
  • Compile, record, and display production data from production schedules, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets.
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain standard operating procedures and operation product specifications.
  • Analyze production trends and inconsistencies and perform root cause analysis (RCA) to develop sustainable solutions in partnership with production leadership.
  • Develop visual aids to support production in creating a sustainable operation.
  • Lead, train and educate staff on process improvement methodologies and techniques such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Problem Solving and Kaizen.
  • Manage and maintain log of all major events within production to mitigate risk of a repeat incident.
  • Calculate factors such as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap and worker and department production rates.
  • Maintain files of documents used and prepared.
  • Chart production based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Review and resolve any SAP issues and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all SAP reporting is accurate and performed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all information received is accurate and filled out completely as required by company policy, following up on missing information with Supervisor and/or Lead of the area.
  • Work to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture, keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in analytical field (Science, math, engineering, finance, etc).
  • Three to Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required, 5+ years of experience in Process Improvement/Engineering, project management or process analyst in a manufacturing role preferred.
  • Programming and data querying software experience (Visual Basics, DAX, or SQL).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Strong project management skills and analytical approach to process improvement.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, decimals, Baker's percent, area, circumference, density, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized institutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual English and Spanish preferable.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software; Project Management software and Manufacturing software.
