About the position

The Senior Analyst position at CVS Health is a pivotal role within the actuarial team, specifically supporting the Government Services Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan business. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about leveraging their analytical skills to enhance healthcare delivery. The primary focus will be on providing modeling and analytical support for the Part D Business, which includes pricing, modeling, and bid development and compliance activities for MAPD, SNP, and PDP products. The successful candidate will be expected to effectively communicate and collaborate across various teams to achieve desired results, ensuring that all projects are managed to meet overall deadlines while completing tasks independently. In this role, the analyst will take ownership of assigned projects, identifying and suggesting alternatives and improvements to both new and existing processes. A strong emphasis will be placed on leveraging technical skills and critical thinking to design and implement effective business solutions. The analyst will also need to demonstrate a solid understanding of existing data sources, translating them into appropriate assumptions and functional business information that can drive decision-making and strategy within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Provide modeling and analytical support for the Part D Business.
  • Focus on pricing, modeling, and bid development and compliance activities for MAPD, SNP, and PDP products.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of actuarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Successful completion of 1 or more Society of Actuaries Exams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite; proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant change.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Pharmacy, Medicare Part D, Medicare or Medicaid experience.
  • Successful completion of 2 or more Society of Actuaries Exams.
  • Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or Python.
