About the position

The position is part of a high-performing actuarial team at CVS Health, focusing on providing modeling and analytical support for the Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plan business. The role emphasizes pricing, modeling, and compliance activities for MAPD, SNP, and PDP products, while fostering collaboration and communication across teams to achieve desired results.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate and collaborate across teams to achieve desired results.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, manage to overall deadlines and complete tasks independently.
• Identify and suggest alternatives and improvements to new & existing processes.
• Leverage strong technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions.
• Demonstrate understanding of existing data sources and translate into appropriate assumptions and functional business information.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of actuarial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Successful completion of 1 or more Society of Actuaries Exams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite; proficiency in Excel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constant change.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior Pharmacy, Medicare Part D, Medicare or Medicaid experience.
• Successful completion of 2 or more Society of Actuaries Exams.
• Experience with SQL, SAS, and/or Python.
