About the position

As a Senior Analyst Portfolio Manager at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) Office, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing rapid prototyping efforts that are crucial to national defense initiatives. This position is designed for an experienced DoD Capability Portfolio Manager who possesses a strong background in concept development, technical development, and programmatic oversight. You will be part of a dynamic team within a 100% employee-owned company, where your contributions will directly impact the success of National Priority Programs. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government labs, military services, academia, and industry partners, to ensure the effective execution of projects that align with the Department of Defense's strategic objectives. In this position, you will serve as the functional and technical expert, providing project management support that includes reviewing project proposals, conducting analyses, and making funding recommendations. You will be responsible for preparing and coordinating documentation for ongoing projects and technical demonstrations, which may include funding documents, memorandums, agreements, program reviews, and reports. Your ability to communicate effectively will be essential, as you will prepare presentations and other visual aids to convey results to senior audiences. Additionally, you will support and attend various stakeholder engagements, including DoD and Intelligence Community boards and councils, communities of interest forums, technical exchange meetings, and working groups. This role is not just about managing projects; it is about being at the forefront of technological advancements that support our national defense.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the functional and technical expert to assess and support oversight of rapid prototyping efforts.
  • Provide project management support including project proposal reviews, analysis, and funding recommendations.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and staff ongoing projects and technical/operational demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with government labs, the Services, academia, and industry to ensure successful project execution.
  • Support and attend various stakeholder engagements including DoD and IC boards and councils.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in technology/capability development, project management, and Joint Warfighting Concepts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or related discipline.
  • Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience preparing presentations and other visualization forms to communicate results to senior audiences.
