The Senior Analyst role is a newly established position within the rapidly expanding Procurement Department at UniFirst. This role presents a unique opportunity to significantly influence the transformation of the Procurement function. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Head of Procurement and will be responsible for independently managing procurement initiatives that vary in complexity, depending on their level of experience. This position necessitates strong leadership skills, as the analyst will be expected to lead projects while collaborating with various corporate functions and engaging multiple stakeholders. The work arrangement for this position is hybrid, requiring the analyst to be on-site in Wilmington, MA for 2-3 days each week, allowing for a blend of in-office and remote work. In this role, the Senior Analyst will play a crucial part in supporting the delivery of cost savings and contributing to effective category management. Key responsibilities include soliciting and qualifying potential new vendors for assigned categories, developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to facilitate price discovery and vendor selection, and supporting or leading sourcing initiatives under the guidance of the Head of Procurement. The analyst will also be responsible for negotiating supply terms and conditions, drafting and implementing supply agreements with input from legal and other stakeholders, and facilitating the onboarding of new suppliers. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will research and resolve various product, service, and supply chain issues, ensuring that product lead times, availability, quality, and performance meet company standards. The role also involves ongoing Supplier Relationship Management, managing vendor price change requests, and providing procurement research and analytical support for initiatives led by the Procurement Manager. The analyst will maintain the contract database with current agreement information, monitor raw material price indexes to identify market trends, and respond promptly to field location product inquiries, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements. Reporting to management will include updates on cost savings, performance improvements, sourcing initiative schedules, and opportunities for enhancing supplier diversity and rationalizing suppliers and SKUs.
