The Senior Analyst role is a new position in a quickly growing Procurement Department at UniFirst. This position presents a unique opportunity to play a significant role in transforming the Procurement function within the company. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Head of Procurement and will be expected to work independently on procurement initiatives that vary in complexity based on their experience. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage projects while collaborating with various corporate functions and multiple stakeholders. The position is structured as a hybrid work arrangement, necessitating 2-3 days per week in the office located in Wilmington, MA. In this role, the Senior Analyst will support the delivery of savings and contribute to category management through a variety of responsibilities. These include soliciting and qualifying potential new vendors for assigned categories, developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that facilitate price discovery and vendor selection, and supporting or leading sourcing initiatives under the guidance of the Head of Procurement. The Senior Analyst will also negotiate all terms and conditions of supply, draft and implement supply agreements with input from Legal and stakeholders, and facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for researching and resolving product, service, and supply chain issues, including those related to product lead times, availability, quality, and performance. Ongoing Supplier Relationship Management support will also be a key aspect of this role, along with managing vendor price change requests, validating them against existing contract terms, and updating vendor pricing on the UniFirst intranet. The Senior Analyst will provide procurement research and analytical support on initiatives led by the Procurement Manager, maintain the contract database with current agreement information, and monitor raw material price indexes to identify market trends. They will also respond promptly to field location product inquiries and ensure compliance with vendor agreements, providing product allocations to the field as needed.
