About the position

The Senior Analyst role is a newly created position within the rapidly expanding Procurement Department at UniFirst. This role presents a unique opportunity to significantly influence and transform the Procurement function within the organization. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Head of Procurement and will be expected to work independently on various procurement initiatives that will increase in complexity based on the individual's experience. This position requires a proactive approach to leading projects while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different corporate functions. The work arrangement for this role is hybrid, necessitating an on-site presence in Wilmington, MA for 2-3 days per week, allowing for flexibility in work location while still maintaining essential in-office collaboration. In this role, the Senior Analyst will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of cost savings and contributing to effective category management. Key responsibilities include soliciting and qualifying potential new vendors for assigned categories, developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to facilitate price discovery and vendor selection, and leading sourcing initiatives under the guidance of the Head of Procurement. The Senior Analyst will also negotiate supply terms and conditions, draft and implement supply agreements with input from legal and other stakeholders, and facilitate the onboarding of new suppliers. Additionally, the role involves researching and resolving various product, service, and supply chain issues, providing ongoing Supplier Relationship Management support, and managing vendor price change requests. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for maintaining the contract database, monitoring raw material price indexes, and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements across field locations.
