About the position

The Senior Analyst, Product Systems at AES Clean Energy is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing software applications that support the company's renewable energy projects. This role involves collaborating with product teams to design and implement solutions that meet organizational needs, ensuring product quality, and providing support to end-users. The position is ideal for a proactive self-starter with strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners, managers, stakeholders, and users to gather and document detailed product requirements.
  • Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis to assess potential solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using Quickbase, SQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Create detailed system documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and data models.
  • Support the product lifecycle from concept to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Troubleshoot product issues and create best practices to prevent future issues.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure product systems meet quality standards and user expectations.
  • Conduct system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) processes.
  • Identify, document, and resolve system issues and defects.
  • Train users on application use, functionality, data quality, and reporting.
  • Create and maintain effective application documentation and user support materials.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Computer Science, Technology, or Business field.
  • 3-5 years' demonstrated experience in the implementation and support of business systems software platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Experience with BI tools, preferably Power BI.
  • Strong Data Analysis and Modeling experience and understanding of data structures.
  • Broad technical acumen including comfort with relational databases and data structures, Quickbase experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with differing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of accountability.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Quickbase software.
