About the position

The Senior Analyst/Programmer at Mayo Clinic is responsible for developing and supporting media production workstreams and various media systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, automating tasks, and utilizing no-code/low-code platforms. The position supports AI/Automation across production and creative services, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support media production workstreams and various media systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Automate tasks using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
  • Utilize no-code/low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Apps for application development.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain custom system software.
  • Perform consulting tasks and act as an information resource and mentor.
  • Collaborate with department leadership and IT on proposal development and business cases.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and present recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Regularly review software programs and make modifications to ensure functionality.
  • Maintain and support multiple systems or complex software programs and applications.
  • Produce and maintain documentation such as system requirements and designs.
  • Provide technical and project leadership to other staff members.
  • Interface with vendor support service groups during outages or degraded system performance.
  • Act as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to support computing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience, including 1 year of demonstrated technical experience; or Associate's degree and 7 years' experience, including 1 year of demonstrated technical experience.
  • Effective system design principles and software development methodologies.
  • Ability to multi-task among multiple complex assigned tasks/projects.
  • Strong communication, meeting management, and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to meet project deliverables and timelines.
  • Initiative and proactive approach to tasks and assignments.
  • Experience working in healthcare technology.
  • Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in applicable field preferred.
  • Certifications in Power BI, Powershell, Crestron programming, AVIXA - CTS, and Biamp Tesiraforte preferred.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Teams rooms Pro Management and Teams Admin Center.
