About the position

The Senior Analyst QA Operations at Dow Jones is responsible for developing and executing test strategies for e-commerce workflows across various platforms, including Journal, Barron's, and MarketWatch. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate customer experiences and ensure the quality of technical releases. The position is based in Princeton, New Jersey, and reports to the Manager within the Marketing Data Platforms Team.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Offer Managers to understand the process for creating new acquisition promotions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing stakeholders and Business Analysts during Requirement Analysis.
  • Create and manage a test framework for validating the customer experience during and post subscription process.
  • Create and maintain documentation around test plans, test results, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Work with cross-functional development teams to understand functionality and impacted systems.
  • Design positive and negative test cases for validating customer experience prior to technical releases.
  • Support each technical release and perform validation on functionality pre and post release.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and recommendations addressing areas of improvement within the QA process.
  • Effectively communicate quality issues and recommendations to Program Director and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 7 years of QA experience
  • Knowledge of the ecommerce, direct to consumer space
  • Experience in manual testing with agile concepts
  • Ability to drive UAT/QA test strategy and test plans
  • Experience in test case creation, execution, and documentation for integration testing
  • Experience with defect management tools, preferably JIRA
  • Project management skills to plan testing around key release dates
  • Strong technical skills
  • Attention to detail and proficient quality assurance abilities
  • Quick problem-solving skills to address roadblocks and production issues
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, technology testing, and databases is a plus
  • Knowledge of Agile processes is a plus
  • Publishing industry experience desired
