About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Research Operations at Disney Entertainment's Research, Insights and Analytics team plays a crucial role in supporting the administration of research projects and team operations. This position involves collaborating with various teams across Disney to manage research initiatives, monitor industry news, and ensure effective project management practices are implemented. The analyst will track resource planning, budgets, and personnel allocation while keeping business leaders informed about critical industry developments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to Research leads across Content, Consumer, and Marketplace Research.
  • Assist Sr Manager in implementation of best practice program management processes.
  • Organize and document project events such as kickoffs, research collaboration meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and records; review and communicate risks, issues, and progress to meet deadlines.
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities.
  • Utilize flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement.
  • Implement tools to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce data-driven analyses.
  • Regularly implement operational tracking processes (e.g., budgets, time allocation, vendor assessment).
  • Deploy understanding of fundamental concepts in Entertainment/Media Distribution to assess market events.
  • Gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to reports and memos about major media company events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years media research/project management experience.
  • Background in Entertainment/Consumer Research in a large, matrixed consumer product or services company or Management Consulting.
  • Experience in project management software tooling such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or Airtable.
  • Strong communication and project organization skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with accuracy and persuasion.
