About the position

The Sr. Analyst, Research Operations plays a crucial role in Disney Entertainment's Research, Insights and Analytics team by collaborating across various teams and functions to support the administration of research projects and team operations. This position involves monitoring industry news, coordinating research teams, managing project resources, and ensuring effective communication of critical issues to business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to Research leads across Content, Consumer, and Marketplace Research.
  • Assist Sr Manager in implementing best practice program management processes and organize project events.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and records, reviewing and communicating risks, issues, and progress.
  • Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with changing priorities.
  • Utilize flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement.
  • Implement tools to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce data-driven analyses.
  • Regularly implement operational tracking processes such as budgets, time allocation, and vendor assessment.
  • Deploy understanding of fundamental concepts in Entertainment/Media Distribution to assess market events.
  • Gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to reports and memos about major media company events.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years media research/project management experience.
  • Background in Entertainment/Consumer Research in a large, matrixed consumer product or services company or Management Consulting.
  • Experience in project management software tooling such as JIRA, Smartsheet, or Airtable.
  • Strong communication and project organization skills with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with accuracy and persuasion.
