About the position

The Senior Analyst of Revenue Management is tasked with enhancing sales-related investments within the Grocery Channel. This role focuses on improving ROI for various expenditures, including Variable Trade and Field Marketing, while collaborating with sales teams to implement effective programming changes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead margin improvement for Wells Enterprises within the Grocery Channel
  • Evaluate all trade programs within the Grocery channel to ensure that ROI aligns with margin targets and customer performance expectations
  • Ensure programming adheres to Revenue Growth Management (RGM) guidelines
  • Conduct monthly reviews with Sales teams to assess current programming and recommend changes to enhance revenue and margin performance
  • Evaluate slotting decisions and payback time, suggesting modifications to fixed spending to drive revenue
  • Collaborate with finance, trade development, and sales to ensure recommendations are implemented at the customer level
  • Set suggested retail pricing within the Grocery Channel and assess trade spending related to that pricing
  • Establish Lowest Net Unit Costs for the Channel, focusing on competitive retails and margin needs to achieve revenue goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Mathematics, Business, Economics, Computer Science); MBA preferred
  • 5+ years in a financial analysis, pricing analysis, or other highly analytical role
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and knowledge of Nielsen / IRI data is an asset
  • Familiarity with pricing and trade optimization
  • Superior Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex scenarios
  • Courage to make difficult decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to develop business cases and understand cost/benefit models
  • Professional interaction with diverse teams across the organization
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and create well-reasoned solutions
  • Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority
