About the position

As a Sr. Analyst in Sales Operations at United Rentals, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the success of the sales organization. This position involves direct collaboration with all levels of the sales team to set sales targets, manage expenses, administer the volume incentive program, and report on sales force effectiveness. You will leverage a variety of reporting and analysis tools to provide meaningful and actionable insights that drive the organization’s growth and profitability. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the sales and marketing teams to gather data, perform in-depth analyses, and provide insights that support a profitable growth strategy. You will analyze customer and equipment data to enhance decision-making processes and assist in developing actionable plans. As a member of the sales operations team, you will contribute to the development of best practices, tools, reporting, and standard operating procedures aimed at driving efficiencies within the sales organization. In this role, you will also take on a consultative lead role in executing the annual sales quota setting process, which is crucial for the company's annual planning. You will support the sales organization with account management and maintenance activities, ensuring that account maintenance is both accurate and timely. Additionally, you will produce KPI reporting for key national account customers and collaborate with the salesforce effectiveness team. Your responsibilities will extend to key account program analysis, including performance reporting, revenue trends, and Monthly Operating Reviews. You will gather historical customer and company data to create analyses that help the sales organization maximize return on investment. Furthermore, you will assist with various ad hoc analyses and reporting related to the company rebate program, state and local government revenue, and key account performance, along with any other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (in Finance or Accounting preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years operations/financial analysis experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced), Word, and PowerPoint.
