About the position

As the Senior Analyst, Supply Chain Systems at GXO Logistics, you will play a crucial role in supporting the information systems component of the organization. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic team and are committed to delivering high-quality service. You will be responsible for writing specifications for new developments and system enhancements, assisting project managers with system implementations and upgrades, and providing ongoing support to ensure the smooth operation of our systems. Your role will involve researching client requirements, determining fit and customizations, and developing proposals that showcase GXO's capabilities and solutions to potential clients. In addition to these responsibilities, you will support implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users, and providing post-implementation support. You will also be tasked with developing detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements, and user documentation. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you perform process and data modeling and conduct integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users. Responsibilities

  • Write specifications for new developments and system enhancements
  • Assist the project manager on system implementations and upgrades, and provide ongoing support
  • Research client requirements, determine fit and customizations, develop proposals and supporting data for cost estimates, and present GXO capabilities and solutions to client prospects
  • Support implementations by developing documented implementation plans, configuring systems, training users and providing post-implementation support
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for modifications, defect corrections, enhancements and user documentation
  • Perform process and data modeling
  • Conduct integrated quality assurance testing on system changes before they are released to key users

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 2 years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) development and implementation
  • Implementation and support experience with web-based applications, WMS, Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and small parcel shipment systems
  • Expertise and experience in at least one of the following business disciplines: supply chain management, warehousing, transportation or distribution
  • Experience using SQL for data analysis, extraction, troubleshooting and reporting
  • Thorough understanding of current information systems technologies such as client/server, relational databases, web-based systems, and object-oriented design
