About the position

As a Senior Analyst - Variable Compensation, you will be responsible for the preparation, coordination, calculation, and documentation of multiple and complex variable pay programs. This role involves extracting data from various systems to determine incentive payments and providing high-level analytics to senior executives and the Compensation Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and prepare data from different sources and systems to facilitate complex variable compensation programs.
  • Calculate variable compensation payments using prepared data.
  • Manage data accuracy and complete calculations of various types of variable compensation impacting financial accruals.
  • Manage complex systems used to calculate variable compensation.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations based on variable compensation data and other pertinent information.
  • Recognize and provide feedback on the impact of changes to plans or financial results on final payouts.
  • Identify issues and suggest courses of action for process improvements.
  • Work closely with corporate and business unit resources to improve standardization.
  • Support and direct implementation of process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Record necessary month-end accruals and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, specifically with large data sets.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX requirements developed through 2-3 years of experience in a public organization.
  • 2 years of experience using large information and accounting systems.
  • Strong overall business skills and common sense approach to issues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex analytical data into an easily understandable format.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel and Access.

Nice-to-haves

  • Report writing experience is preferred.
