About the position

The Senior Analytic Data Analyst at Highmark Health plays a crucial role in understanding and analyzing healthcare data from end-to-end. This position involves working with both raw and analytic data to ensure its accuracy and reliability for the enterprise. The incumbent is responsible for cleansing, validating, auditing, and comparing data from various sources, which is essential for maintaining high data quality standards. The role requires collaboration with engineering and business teams to gather requirements and ensure that the outcomes align with business processes and industry standards. In addition to data analysis, the Senior Analytic Data Analyst will deliver data profiling, conduct testing, and perform systems validation to troubleshoot any data anomalies. Monitoring data management metrics and overseeing data loads are also key responsibilities. The analyst will work closely with data quality teams to ensure that the derived data meets business alignment and analytic value. Furthermore, this position includes providing guidance and education to Associate and Intermediate staff, fostering a collaborative environment and enhancing team capabilities. Customer relationship management is another critical aspect of this role, as the analyst will be responsible for managing relationships with stakeholders and ensuring their needs are met through effective data analysis and reporting. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry to drive functional efforts across various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Verify analytic data for the enterprise by conducting end-to-end analysis of data, including cleansing, validating, auditing, and comparing data from various sources.
  • Confirm the accuracy of new data sources used by the analytic entities of the enterprise, including testing of source data and interconnections to internal sources.
  • Routinely monitor data sources used for analytics to assure continued updates meet quality standards.
  • Drive functional efforts for programs across specific projects, including guidance and education of Intermediate and Associate individual contributors.
  • Manage relationships with customers on the function or domain of analytics.
  • Solicit requirements from key stakeholders leveraging expert knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Data Processing, Healthcare Informatics, Management Information Systems or closely related discipline.
  • 5 - 7 years of Business Analyst Experience, or 5 - 7 years of Data Analytics Experience, or 5 - 7 years of Healthcare Industry Experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Management Information Systems or Healthcare Informatics.
  • 5 - 7 years of Data Warehousing Experience.
