In this role, you will lead the data strategy for the Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB) organization. This position is pivotal in the creation and execution of all data-related initiatives supporting both the financial and operational areas of CSB. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for transforming raw data into actionable insights, working collaboratively with various internal leaders to understand business challenges and opportunities. This role will require you to identify and build data assets that support CSB, ensuring that data-driven decisions are at the forefront of the organization’s strategy. You will be responsible for constructing and implementing the Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB) Data Strategy, which includes identifying all CSB data inputs and collaborating with IT stakeholders to understand the current landscape of data. A key aspect of this role involves creating a CSB-specific data warehouse or lakehouse, as well as owning all business logic related to data transformation. You will work closely with business partners to determine specific data needs and create curated datasets to meet those requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand current data challenges and identify future opportunities for the creation of data assets. A significant part of your responsibilities will include developing a data governance program and an internal data training program for key stakeholders, enabling them to make informed, data-driven decisions. You will also take ownership of existing data assets, making recommendations and changes based on the new data strategy, while building strong relationships with CSB leadership to become a trusted consultative partner for the data and analytics teams.
