As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in evolving our foundational data infrastructure, primarily supporting our finance department. This position is not just about managing data; it’s about owning the analytics infrastructure for our products from end-to-end. You will be responsible for data ingestion, reporting, and activation, ensuring high data quality and availability for our datasets. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business, engineering, and analytics teams to establish effective reporting and analysis frameworks that are essential for scaling our ventures. As a senior member of the team, you will promote strong standards across the organization and help elevate your colleagues through the adoption of software engineering best practices. You will be an ambassador for our data-driven culture, transforming raw data into actionable insights that facilitate analysis and decision-making. Your responsibilities will include managing data projects from ingestion to reporting, demonstrating your ability to oversee, scope, and navigate through ambiguity. You will also liaise between various departments to translate business requirements into effective data capture and schema design. Your expertise will help shape the data model at Super.com, advancing our broader analytics strategy and building trust within the organization. Teamwork is essential, as you will work with key stakeholders to understand existing processes and collaborate on designing and implementing improved and automated workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the analytics infrastructure for finance products from data ingestion to reporting and activation.
  • Ensure high data quality and availability for datasets.
  • Promote strong standards throughout the organization.
  • Lead data projects from ingestion to reporting, overseeing and scoping work with ambiguity.
  • Liaise between Business, Engineering, and Data to translate business requirements into data capture and schema design.
  • Shape the data model at Super.com to advance the analytics strategy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand existing processes and design improved automated processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience as an analytics engineer or full stack data analyst.
  • Proficient in SQL with an emphasis on writing performant code.
  • Expertise in data modeling and schema design, ideally using dbt.
  • Strong comprehension of data warehouses and the modern data stack.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects that drive key business outcomes.
  • Experience building ELT and reverse ETL pipelines using off-the-shelf tools or simple DAGs in Airflow with Python.
  • Familiarity with tools for data governance, data quality testing, and documentation.
  • Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
