About the position

ID.me is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to provide technical leadership in enhancing our analytical capabilities. As a data-driven organization, we are committed to leveraging insights from our data to improve our services and member experience. In this role, you will collaborate with business leaders to define key metrics and develop the necessary data architecture. Your efforts will focus on democratizing data by building robust data models, creating clear metric definitions, and innovatively documenting metadata. You will support our data infrastructure, which includes technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Looker, and GCP services. Your role will involve educating the organization on analytical approaches that drive business decisions, researching and implementing best practices for managing data platforms, and partnering with data analysts, engineers, and scientists to create reusable data infrastructure, analytics, dashboards, and models. Additionally, you will lead transformational efforts to foster a data-driven culture at ID.me, enabling self-service data access for all team members. Mentorship and training for data analysts will also be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the team is equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in a data-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support our data infrastructure which includes Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Looker, and GCP services
  • Educate the organization on analytical approaches to drive business decisions
  • Research, design, and implement best practices in managing data platforms
  • Partner with data analysts, engineers, and scientists to build reusable data infrastructure, analytics, dashboards, and models
  • Lead transformational efforts to build a data driven culture at ID.me by enabling data self-service
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, coaching and/or training to data analysts

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Data Analytics experience with SQL
  • 7+ years of experience with data warehousing technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
  • 2+ years experience with dbt, Python, and Git
  • 3+ years of experience with data modeling
  • Experience working in CICD framework and familiarity with data architecture and design
  • Experience with visualization/reporting tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI
  • BS (MS Preferred) in a highly quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Operations Research, Physics, Statistics, or related)
  • Experience ingesting, processing, and visualizing data sources of varying types - structured/relational and unstructured
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • Superb time management, prioritization of tasks and ability to meet deadlines with little supervision
