About the position

The Senior Analytics Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping the data analytics and business intelligence strategy for a newly created division within a large energy company. This position is designed for an experienced professional who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced analytics systems that directly influence decision-making processes and contribute to the organization's success. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain our data warehouse using Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
• Develop and manage ETL processes, including data quality and testing.
• Create and maintain data models to support business processes and decision-making.
• Utilize Azure and Power BI for data storage, transformation, and visualization.
• Implement and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) systems, ensuring data consistency and reliability across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Analyze and interpret complex financial data, providing insights and recommendations to the sales team and senior management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and provide recommendations for process and tool improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the sales industry.
• Proven experience with Snowflake, MDM, Data Modeling, ETL, Azure, Power BI, and Financial Data.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A strong desire to stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and technologies in the field of data analytics.
