About the position

We are a mission-driven consumer health company that provides avenues for content, community, and clinical support for optimization of mind and body. We are seeking a Senior Manager/Director of Data Engineering and Analytics to spearhead data-driven decision-making and optimize processes across the organization. This role involves overseeing KPI reporting and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure a robust and scalable analytics infrastructure. As a player-coach, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, working closely with department heads in operations, finance, marketing, and product to set priorities and manage the analytics roadmap. Key responsibilities include developing and managing the analytics roadmap, overseeing capacity planning, and documenting deliverable requirements. You will establish standards for documenting requests and ensuring uniform metric definitions and reporting. Collaboration with Data Engineering is crucial, as you will work to define and prioritize data needs and ensure compliance with regulations. In your player-coach role, you will conduct analysis while mentoring junior staff in data analysis and reporting. Additionally, you will create and maintain dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights. Translating data findings into clear recommendations and ensuring self-service capabilities for stakeholders will be part of your responsibilities. You will also identify trends, anomalies, and provide insights for deeper business understanding, ensuring data accuracy through regular audits and validation checks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the analytics roadmap, oversee capacity planning, and document deliverable requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in data analysis, preferably in eCommerce with 2+ years managing analytics functions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, LookerStudio, or similar tools; experience with statistics and Python is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
