Under the supervision of the Analytics Engineering Manager, the Senior Analytics Engineer will lead a data mart strategy and use technical skills to build it out. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with analysts, engineers, product managers, and others to define the requirements while being accountable for delivering the end product.
  • Lead the development of data marts and pipelines for several domains across the company.
  • Collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models.
  • Set company-wide standards for data marts regarding structure, quality and expectations.
  • Help maintain the data catalog.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience with analytics engineering.
  • 2 years of experience with dimensional data modeling.
  • 2 years of experience with ETL design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • 2 years of experience with query optimization and improving pipeline performance by reducing time or complexity.
  • 2 years of experience working with cross-functional teams, engineers, and product managers to define and manage roadmaps and KPIs.
  • 2 years of experience working with reporting dashboards and Business Review Scorecards.
  • 2 years of experience with AWS Glue, CI/CD, DataOps best practices, GIT, Pandas, Python, QuickSight, Redshift, SQL, and Tableau.
