About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic Data Engineering team. In this role, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines, analytical models, and reporting systems that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will leverage your expertise to tackle complex challenges and champion innovative solutions. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will take full ownership of end-to-end analytics engineering projects, from ideation to deployment and monitoring, demonstrating the ability to drive successful outcomes independently. You will proactively identify and resolve data-related issues, optimize processes, and continuously improve the analytics infrastructure to ensure high-quality, reliable data insights. Your role will also involve proactively researching and proposing new analytics initiatives, gathering evidence, and building compelling cases to showcase their potential business value. You will navigate ambiguous or loosely defined problems, applying structured thinking and technical expertise to design scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions. As a domain expert, you will provide guidance and mentoring to team members while proactively addressing knowledge gaps. Your impactful analytics solutions will directly contribute to 10X's success by driving improvements in revenue, cost savings, or operational efficiency. Additionally, you will actively mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and development through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of end-to-end analytics engineering projects, from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues, optimize processes, and continuously improve the analytics infrastructure.
  • Proactively research and propose new analytics initiatives, gathering evidence and building compelling cases to showcase their potential business value.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions for ambiguous or loosely defined problems.
  • Become the go-to expert in specific analytics domains, providing guidance and mentoring to team members.
  • Deliver impactful analytics solutions that contribute to improvements in revenue, cost savings, or operational efficiency.
  • Actively mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent education or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
  • Experience in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience in data modeling and performance optimization techniques.
