About the position

The Senior Analytics Specialist will join the Buy-side Managed Services team at FactSet Research Systems, focusing on becoming a subject matter expert in the FactSet Core Analytics products. This role emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients and internal teams, to deliver tailored solutions and optimize client workflows in the asset management industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the asset management industry and market trends.
  • Execute implementations, managed services, consultancy, and solution optimizations.
  • Analyze and solve complex business issues related to clients' investment portfolios and financial data.
  • Gather requirements to address client-specific business needs efficiently.
  • Support the execution of clients' production processes and workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert escalation point for internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Consulting, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Strategy.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience with knowledge across all asset types.
  • Knowledge of financial products and instruments.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial formulas.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical and application knowledge.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Financial instruments pricing knowledge, including Stocks, Bonds, and derivatives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial background in the Asset Management industry.
  • Interest in capital markets and portfolio management.
  • Experience with Performance Measurement & Attribution or Risk Management.
  • Interest in working with software, data, and analytics.
  • Python and data science skills.
  • Participation in the CFA Program or FRM Program.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in managing multiple priorities.
