About the position
At BeReal, we are dedicated to authenticity in social media. By encouraging users to share unfiltered moments, we foster genuine connections and celebrate real life. We are now an international team of 30+ and have 40M+ monthly active users. Backed by Voodoo, our team is fully focused on scaling BeReal into an iconic social network used by hundreds of millions. In this role, you will build your feature following the project architecture, while collaborating on architectural decisions and ensuring best practices. You will challenge and implement the designs provided in FIGMA, along with the product guidelines. Participation in the product strategy is also expected. You will write robust code to be used by millions of users and take responsibility for the deployment and monitoring of an app serving millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Build your feature following the project architecture, while collaborating on architectural decisions and ensuring best practices.
- Challenge and implement the designs provided in FIGMA, along with the product guidelines.
- Participate in the product strategy.

- Take responsibility for the deployment and monitoring of an app serving millions of users.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in mobile engineering with Android / Kotlin
- Experience working with Jetpack Compose
- Good knowledge of reactive programming (Flow, Coroutines and Concurrency)
- Solid understanding of software design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP)
- Expertise in building modular, scalable app architectures
- Strong affinity for UI & UX and a product-oriented mindset
- Fluency in French
Nice-to-haves
- Track record with successful mobile apps
- Exposure to Cloud-based architectures (GCP, AWS, ...)
