About the position

Leidos is seeking a Senior Angular Developer with Java/Node to lead the Digital Modernization Strategy for the Social Security Administration (SSA). This role involves building next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, impacting millions of American lives. Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise APIs and user interfaces for SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy.
• Collaborate with team members to design, build, and deploy applications using Angular, Java, and Node.
• Mentor new team members and support their onboarding process through knowledge sharing and coaching.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including daily scrums and project updates.
• Develop and maintain applications using modern software development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of modern software development experience, particularly with Angular 9 and above, Node, Java, Spring Boot, and REST API.
• Experience working on an Agile development team for 10+ years.
• Strong understanding of OOP, Twelve Factor Application Design principles, and architecture styles.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Git/BitBucket, Jira/VersionOne, and AWS.
• Familiarity with DevOps environments and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of BDD methodologies like Cucumber.
