About the position

Leidos is seeking a Senior Angular Developer with Java/Node to contribute to the Digital Modernization Strategy for the Social Security Administration (SSA). This role involves leading the development of next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces, impacting millions of American lives. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in Angular, Node, Java, and REST API, and will thrive in a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on mission success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise APIs and user interfaces for SSA's Digital Modernization Strategy.
• Collaborate with team members to design, build, and deploy applications using Angular, Node, and Java.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to daily scrums.
• Mentor new team members and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Develop applications using Java/Spring Boot and design database components as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of modern software development experience, particularly with Angular 9 and above, Node, Java, Spring Boot, and REST API.
• Experience working on an Agile development team for 10+ years.
• Strong understanding of OOP principles, Twelve Factor Application Design, and REST API architecture.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Jenkins, Splunk, Git/BitBucket, Jira/VersionOne, and AWS.
• Familiarity with DevOps environments and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of BDD methodologies like Cucumber.
