About the position

The Senior Angular Developer will support the VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services program, focusing on developing and maintaining applications for the Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio clients across the U.S. This role requires expertise in AngularJS and SQL, with responsibilities including designing, developing, and testing new features, collaborating with UX/UI designers, and ensuring high performance and scalability of web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new features in applications.
• Communicate regularly with team members involved in the development process.
• Implement, test, and bug-fix functionality.
• Design and implement software projects using C#.
• Develop advanced Angular-based web applications ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly interfaces.
• Develop and integrate reusable Angular components, services, and modules.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and security of applications.
• Take ownership of projects and guide the team in delivering high-quality solutions on time.
• Define and implement best practices for coding standards and performance optimization.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate RESTful APIs and other services into Angular applications.
• Optimize application performance, especially in API interactions and data rendering.
• Debug and resolve issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems and prepare operating instructions.
• Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience with AngularJS version 10 or higher.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript 5.x, TypeScript 4.x, Bootstrap 5.x, and JQuery 3.6.x.
• Experience with MS SQL Server, including writing stored procedures and managing databases.
• Knowledge of Visual Studio (versions 2019 and 2022).
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) concepts.
• Experience in integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL in Angular applications.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Ability to collaborate with a team and self-manage workload under tight deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cucumber and Cypress for functional testing.
• Ability to write, understand, and modify C# APIs.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
