About the position

Mastech is a growing company dedicated to innovation and teamwork. We are currently seeking a Senior App Development Analyst for our client in the IT Services domain. This position is crucial as it involves coordinating release implementations and providing L3 Production support close activities. The Senior App Development Analyst will serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout all phases of the system life cycle, including gap analysis, design, development, and implementation, specifically to support Loan Accounting Applications. This role requires a deep understanding of loan accounting processes and the ability to analyze the impact of new requests and business process changes on existing systems and processes. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between the project team and business partners, ensuring that all technical requirements are met and that the project aligns with business objectives. The role demands a comprehensive knowledge of loan accounting, as well as technical expertise in various tools and technologies such as Ab-initio, PL/SQL, UNIX, AutoSys, Clear Case, and Clear Quest. The candidate should have a proven track record of successful implementation across all project life cycle stages, from requirements gathering through to implementation and enhancements. This is a Contract To Hire position, with an expected duration of 6 months, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. The position is located in Herndon, VA, and while local candidates are preferred, relocation expenses will be covered for the right candidate. The compensation will be at market rate, reflecting the candidate's experience and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate release implementations and L3 Production support close activities.
• Serve as technical SME in all phases of system life cycle (gap analysis, design, develop, implement) to support Loan Accounting Applications.
• Serve as project team liaison with business partners to analyze the impact of new requests and business process changes on existing systems and processes.
• Provide loan accounting business domain and/or technology and/or process expertise.

Requirements

• Loan Accounting SME knowledge, Ab-initio, PL/SQL, UNIX, AutoSys, Clear Case, Clear Quest.
• 13+ years of overall technical experience in system design, project development and production support of large applications/systems.
• In depth understanding of loan accounting.
• 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting Ab-Initio, PL/SQL applications.
• Experience in performance tuning of Ab-initio graphs and PL/SQL packages.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, UNIX shell scripts, AutoSys, SQL and PL/SQL, and XML.
• Hands on experience with Version control systems [EME, ClearCase] and Issue tracking systems [Remedy, Clear Quest].
• Proven track record of successful implementation of all project life cycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancements.
• Proven Track Record supporting production for multiple applications.
• Good written and communication skills with ability to articulate ideas and issues in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment to meet the deadlines.
