About the position

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a highly experienced technical support engineer to provide exceptional support for our Wireless products, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, and Matter. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries and resolving software and hardware issues efficiently. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the high standards of our products. You will be expected to respond quickly to customer requests, providing them with the necessary technical assistance to troubleshoot and resolve their issues effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in MCU-related fields. You will be required to demonstrate proficiency in C and C++, with a proven track record of developing embedded firmware. A deep understanding of typical SoC hardware interfaces such as Ethernet, MIPI, SDIO, LP DDR3/4, Quad/Octal SPI, USB2.0/3.0, UART, SPI, and I2C is essential. Additionally, familiarity with ARM Cortex M and A based register programming models is necessary for this position. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems, particularly FreeRTOS and Zephyr, is preferred, as is knowledge of various wireless communication stacks including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, and Matter. You should also have experience with tools such as BDScan, Covierity, GIT, Bitbucket, and release management processes. Hands-on experience with wireless sniffer tools like Wireshark, Ellisys, and X500 will be advantageous for analyzing issues. Prior experience with NXP Wireless, MCU, and MPU radios is also preferred. This position offers a competitive salary range of $125,600 to $172,700 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid leave.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for NXP's Wireless products including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, Thread, and Matter.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in MCU-related fields.
  • Experience with C and C++ and a record of developing embedded firmware.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of typical SoC hardware interfaces (Ethernet, MIPI, SDIO, LP DDR3/4, Quad/Octal SPI, USB2.0/3.0, UART, SPI, I2C).
  • Knowledge of ARM Cortex M and A based register programming models.
