About the position

As a Senior Application Developer (Linux/C/SQL) at Gainwell, you will leverage your technical skills to develop innovative solutions that enhance the health and well-being of vulnerable communities. This role involves designing, coding, and testing complex applications while serving as a technical consultant for senior management on various projects. Responsibilities

• Develop highly complex design, coding, and testing documentation to create technical products that meet client expectations.
• Perform development, domain, application design, web service, and database methodologies according to best practices.
• Serve as a technical consultant to senior management for complex projects, modifying existing applications and designing new modules.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and project delivery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of application development experience in Java, C, and support across the development life cycle.
• Strong foundation in software and product design methodologies, programming languages, and operating systems.
• Expertise in application development policies and procedures, with strong analytical skills.
• Experience with batch UNIX/LINUX C programming and SQL (MS SQL Server).
• Proficiency in Java programming, XML, object-oriented programming, JUnit, and Test-Driven Development.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of JPA / Eclipse Link
• Knowledge of JAXB / XML
• Experience with Java 7 threading - Executors and Executor Service
• Familiarity with Oracle DB and Apache Derby
• Experience with Eclipse IDE, Microsoft Azure DevOps, and GIT.
