About the position

The Senior Application Developer (Siebel) position at ERCOT is a contract-to-hire role focused on the administration and development of applications within the Siebel CRM environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Siebel Administration, particularly in both Windows and Linux environments, and will be responsible for maintaining production and lower environments, writing custom code, and ensuring integration with other systems. This role requires a collaborative approach to problem-solving and the ability to deliver creative solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver on all tasks related to Application design, installation, configuration and Administration of Siebel application across all environments.
• Complete and submit migration control documentation and support migration activities.
• Coordinate with other teams at ERCOT for Connectivity, Version/Patch Update, Upgrade and Database activities.
• Review Requirements Document with Business teams.
• Conduct and document unit tests and support integration testing.
• Provide operational support and help business team by writing ad-hoc queries.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Application Development with Siebel IP17 or above.
• Experience in installing and configuring Siebel system on Windows and LINUX Operating Systems using Oracle database.
• Proficiency in VB Script and eScript.
• Experience with EAI Integration (REST APIs, JMS).
• Strong understanding of Siebel Architecture including Gateway Server, Enterprise Server, and Siebel Server.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with performance tuning Siebel implementations.
• Knowledge of Siebel authentication methods (LDAP, SSO, ADSI).
• Ability to translate business requirements into creative technical solutions.
