About The Position

The Senior Application Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of an in-house web-based Absence Reporting and Case Management System for a major transit agency. This role involves working on the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including application design, programming, and testing, while translating application requirements into web-based solutions. The position is remote but requires candidates to be local to the DC metro area for occasional meetings.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience as a web applications developer.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Five years of hands-on experience designing and developing modern web applications using C+/C++, ASP.NET 4 (and above), ASP.NET MVC 4, ADO.NET, Web Services (WCF), JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, ADO.Net, and HTML.
• Project-based experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008+) and Oracle (11gR2+).
• Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and functions using T-SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience developing mobile-friendly websites and applications using mobile application frameworks.
• Knowledge of design principles/tools and Java/Android application development experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in developing web applications with complex business rules.
