About the position

The Senior Application Developer at Ampcus, Inc. is responsible for leading the development and deployment of cloud applications using AWS technologies. This role requires expertise in both backend and frontend development, with a focus on Python for backend services and Angular or React for frontend interfaces. The developer will also be involved in database management, cloud security, and integration, ensuring that applications are built to meet high standards of security and performance in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of cloud applications using AWS technologies.
  • Write and maintain Python code for backend services and utilize Angular or React for frontend development.
  • Manage database operations and ensure effective database management practices.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK or Terraform for application deployment.
  • Conduct remediation and unit testing of code during the application development and user deployment process.
  • Utilize AWS CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for logging and auditing in a regulated environment.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and manage application security roles.

Requirements

  • AWS cloud application development experience.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Expert knowledge in cloud technology platforms, tools/services, DevOps, and database management.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in Python for backend development and Angular or React for frontend development.
  • Experience with container-based applications and REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of AWS storage infrastructure, including S3 and database backups.

Nice-to-haves

  • GovCloud development experience.
  • Detailed attention to security roles and least privilege access.
  • Command line proficiency in PowerShell or Bash.
