About the position
The Senior Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining application solutions that meet the needs of the organization. This role requires extensive experience in application integration, particularly with Java and Oracle PL/SQL, and involves working closely with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver customized solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop application solutions using Java and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Integrate applications with XML web services interfaces.
- Support and maintain business software systems, particularly ERP financial systems.
- Define requirements for solution development as a Business Process Analyst.
- Build customized solutions within vendor framework tools, specifically DelTek Extensibility Designer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
- 8+ years of related experience in application development.
- Experience with Java and application integration using XML web services.
- Advanced skills in Oracle PL/SQL.
- Experience in government aerospace accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel and Pivot tables.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience supporting business software systems, especially ERP financial systems.
- Financial Accounting application experience, particularly with Deltek Costpoint.
- Understanding of business data flow for cash flow, invoicing, payroll, and project cost collection.
