About the position

The position of Senior Application Developer is a critical role responsible for the senior-level design, development, maintenance, integration, and support of both internet and intranet web sites. This includes the design and implementation of new concepts and prototypes that align with the organization's goals. The Senior Application Developer will be expected to maintain quality service standards set by the organization, ensuring that all web applications are not only functional but also secure and user-friendly. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. In this role, the developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement features that enhance the user experience. The position demands a strong understanding of various programming languages and frameworks, as well as the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly. The Senior Application Developer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in the development process, ensuring that all applications meet the highest standards of performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a desire to stay current with industry trends. They will be expected to contribute to the overall success of the team by sharing knowledge and best practices, mentoring junior developers, and participating in code reviews. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain internet and intranet web applications.
  • Implement new concepts and prototypes for web applications.
  • Ensure quality service standards are maintained throughout the development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development process.
  • Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.
  • 6+ years of related IT industry experience.
  • Financial Services/Banking experience is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented programming, scripting, and functional programming.
  • Experience building secure web applications using the latest technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with .NET, ASP.NET, MVC, C#, and T-SQL.
  • Experience developing mobile applications using native or hybrid technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Angular JS, Node JS, and React Native is a plus.
  • Good UI/UX design skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology/concepts quickly.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with source control systems like GIT/TFS, VSTS, and CI/CD tools is a plus.
