About the position

The Senior Application Engineer for Automotive Electronics at Henkel is responsible for leading technical service on developmental and commercialized products, optimizing material application processes, and directly interacting with customers to troubleshoot and resolve product and process-related issues. This role involves conducting customer visits, demonstrations, and training, as well as completing laboratory testing for both internal and external customers. The position requires significant travel and focuses on enhancing customer satisfaction through technical expertise and support.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical service on developmental and commercialized products by optimizing material application processes.
• Interact directly with customers to troubleshoot and solve product and process-related problems.
• Conduct customer visits, demonstrations, recommendations, and training for strategic initiatives and breakthrough technologies.
• Complete laboratory and testing for internal and external customers.
• Provide technical training for field sales, customers, and TCS talent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science/Chemistry, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with Automotive Quality systems and requirements.
• Experience with dispense equipment suppliers.
• 7+ years of experience working with chemical materials for Automotive electronic applications (e.g., sensors, connectors, printed circuit boards, modules, semiconductors).
• Strong account management skills and analytical thinking.
• Familiarity with lean/six sigma/scientific application methods and technical writing/reporting.
• Business acumen.
