About The Position

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to join our IT Team in support of our contract with the Drug Enforcement Agency's Diversion Control Division. This position is based in Richmond, VA, and requires a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of being onsite at least two times a week. The role necessitates a Public Trust clearance, which involves successfully completing a DEA background investigation. In this position, you will work closely with an application and development team to design, implement, maintain, and support web applications. Your responsibilities will include upgrading, patching, and monitoring the performance and resource usage of critical applications. You will assist the development team with code upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, and exploring and testing new application features. This role requires a high level of expertise in all phases of application management, ensuring that applications run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching deployments of Oracle Reports, specifically version 12.2.1.19. Monitoring application performance and resource usage for Oracle Reports will be a key part of your duties, as well as deploying Oracle CPU patches for WebLogic. Collaboration with Oracle Database Administrators will be essential for the installation, configuration, and upgrade of APEX and ORDS 23.2. Additionally, you will provide APEX user administration support for the development team and manage the installation, configuration, upgrade, and patch deployment in DEV, TEST, and PROD environments for Cognos versions 11.1.4/11.2.1/11.2.4 on Linux. Your role will also involve assisting the development team with code upgrades, migration, troubleshooting, and exploring and testing new features of Cognos, as well as supporting Cognos operation and administration requests.
