About the position

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team as a Senior Application Engineer specializing in DevOps, where you will play a crucial role in partnering with our customers to engineer innovative solutions that address their real-world engineering challenges. This position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various industries. As a hands-on subject matter expert, you will leverage your extensive engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, conduct professional services, and translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. Your contributions will not only enhance customer satisfaction but also drive the growth of Ansys' business. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Ansys product development teams to ensure that customer needs are effectively translated into new product features. You will be responsible for testing new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems and developing best practices for deployment. Your expertise will be essential in leading the deployment of software releases to customer environments, ensuring that they are reliable, scalable, and secure. Additionally, you will implement automation strategies, such as CI/CD pipelines, to streamline deployments and enhance operational efficiency. As part of your responsibilities, you will also develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning, deployment, and scaling of applications and environments. You will implement and manage monitoring and logging systems to promptly detect and resolve issues, advise on system scalability, security, and performance considerations, and assist in the development of technical roadmaps that align with strategic business goals. Your role will involve providing reviews of software architecture designs to ensure they meet best practices and align with customer requirements, serving as a technical expert during client interactions, and troubleshooting complex issues in customer environments to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features.
  • Test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems and develop deployment best practices.
  • Contribute to consulting services and conduct introductory and/or intermediate training classes.
  • Lead the deployment of software releases to customer environments, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Collaborate with business units and development teams to help improve software quality.
  • Implement automation (CI/CD pipelines, etc.) for efficient deployments.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning, deployment, and scaling of applications and environments.

Requirements
