About the position

The Senior Application Engineer at Modine Manufacturing Company is responsible for developing specific designs using current technology to meet customer requirements economically. This role involves supporting customer programs from conception through to post-sale support and installation, ensuring that products are effectively utilized in real-world applications.

Responsibilities

• Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers.
• Provide technical assistance to the customer's engineering personnel.
• Coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of prototypes.
• Specify test requirements and analyze test results on assigned products to validate performance and durability of new and revised designs.
• Ensure understanding by plant production and manufacturing personnel of design specifications.
• Work closely with other departments and the plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements.
• Monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience required.
• Must have an understanding of heat transfer and its application to assigned products and of the customer's product and end use.
• Knowledge of structural design, manufacturing processes and computer methods are necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
• Demonstrates adaptability and agility in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and shift priorities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
