The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for the development of specific designs using current technology to meet customer requirements most economically. In this role, you will see our products being used in the real world by supporting assigned customer programs from conception to support after sale and installation. Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, you will design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers, provide technical assistance to the customer's engineering personnel, and coordinate the build and ensure the accuracy of prototypes. You will also specify test requirements and analyze test results on assigning products to validate performance and durability of new and revised designs. Ensuring understanding by plant production and manufacturing personnel of design specifications is crucial, as is working closely with other departments and the plant to ensure new models are delivered on time and meet all customer requirements. Additionally, you will monitor feedback from the field and initiate product improvement when appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Design heat exchangers and cooling system modules for assigned customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience required.
  • Must have an understanding of heat transfer and its application to assigned products and of the customer's product and end use.
  • Knowledge of structural design, manufacturing processes and computer methods are necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and agility in a fast-paced environment; Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and shift priorities with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
