About the position

The Senior Application Engineer at Medidata plays a crucial role in modernizing the company's architecture and supporting the adoption of best practices across the organization. This position involves developing high-quality software solutions that enhance application performance and scalability, while collaborating with various teams to deliver impactful products. The engineer will be responsible for writing maintainable code, reviewing code for best practices, and staying updated with new technologies to improve software offerings.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Develop new features, enhancing application performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering managers and architects on technical decision-making for complex systems.
• Review code and ensure best practices are followed, while improving our products.
• Collaborate with product, PMO, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Stay current with new technologies and apply them to improve our software offerings.

Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and frameworks like ReactJS or AngularJS.
• Experience with API development using REST and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of AWS, including containerized or serverless applications.
• Experience with Golang or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgresSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Micro Front-End (MFE) architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging in service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• 4+ years of experience developing web applications.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
