About the position

The Software Engineer position at Medidata involves modernizing the architecture of the Medidata Platform and supporting the adoption of best practices across the company. The role focuses on delivering mission-critical software that impacts both internal and external teams, enhancing application performance and scalability, and collaborating with various teams to create high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
• Develop new features, enhancing application performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering managers and architects on technical decision-making for complex systems.
• Review code and ensure best practices are followed, while improving our products.
• Collaborate with product, PMO, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Stay current with new technologies and apply them to improve our software offerings.

Requirements

• Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and frameworks like ReactJS or AngularJS.
• Experience with API development using REST and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of AWS, including containerized or serverless applications.
• Experience with Golang or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgresSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with Micro Front-End (MFE) architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging in service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• 4+ years of experience developing web applications.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
