About the position

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled Senior Application (.NET) Developer to join their Systems Engineering team. This role involves developing software using the .NET framework, creating applications from scratch, configuring existing systems, and providing user support. The developer will work closely with internal and client teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot/debug, and maintain software in conformance to standards and industry best practices.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
  • Collaborate within an Agile development team.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TOP SECRET Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5) years or more of .NET development experience
  • Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET), JavaScript, AJAX, and HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience with the .NET framework, ASP.NET, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC))
  • Experience with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
  • Solid background and practical experience in requirements analysis, object-oriented methodologies and design patterns
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
  • Experience with RDBMS Database design/development/Queries

Nice-to-haves

  • Development experience in SharePoint
  • Experience with source control tools (Azure DevOps, Git)
  • Experience with Bootstrap CSS Framework
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others
