About the position

The Senior Applications Systems Analyst at Pennymac plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and implementation of ServiceNow information systems. This position is not only about technical expertise but also involves acting as a primary liaison to clients, ensuring that their needs are met through effective system administration. As a subject matter expert (SME) on ServiceNow, the analyst will mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing is encouraged. In this role, the analyst will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and automation through the ServiceNow platform. This involves designing tailored ServiceNow solutions, including workflows and configurations, that align with established business processes. The analyst will also be responsible for developing and executing test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of these solutions, providing ongoing support to users, troubleshooting issues, and continuously optimizing the platform to maintain high performance and stability. Additionally, the Senior Applications Systems Analyst will develop training materials and documentation to educate users on ServiceNow features and best practices. Staying updated with ServiceNow enhancements and industry trends is essential, as the analyst will recommend and implement improvements to keep the platform at the forefront of IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities. The role may also involve performing other related duties as required, all while demonstrating behaviors aligned with the organization's culture and values.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on ServiceNow, mentoring and guiding other team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and analyze existing processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and automation using ServiceNow.
  • Design ServiceNow solutions, including workflows and configurations, to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support for ServiceNow users and troubleshoot issues.
  • Continuously optimize the ServiceNow platform for high performance and stability.
  • Develop training materials and documentation for users on ServiceNow features and best practices.
  • Monitor ServiceNow updates and industry trends, recommending enhancements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Significant design experience in Relational Databases, Online Systems, and Web-Based Applications.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Experience in Financial Services and preferably in the mortgage industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.
  • Familiarity with other ITSM tools and platforms.
