About the position

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Senior Applications Analyst - PWA to join the team! This position will be responsible for eliciting needs of the stakeholders, analyzing business requirements, identifying business opportunities, preparing documentation, and evaluating risk for assigned applications within the PWA line of business. Ensure assigned applications work reliably for the business and are kept current per the vendor requirements; maintain, troubleshoot, and support systems daily.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize Application Utilization: Ensure assigned applications available features and functionalities are fully understood and utilized. Optimize processes to drive efficiency and utilization gains throughout the department.
  • Business Process Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough business process reviews and analyses to identify opportunities to leverage applications. Actively seek ways to enhance the client experience. Suggest ways to force/maintain consistency throughout the system(s).
  • Product Evaluation and Enhancement: Evaluate product offerings and potential enhancements. Assess feasibility, business value, and benefits of proposed changes. Provide recommendations with rationales and obtain team consensus.
  • Project Leadership and Participation: Lead and/or participate in projects (e.g., system upgrades, wealth integrations). Collaborate with other departments to implement initiatives using best practice project management techniques. Ensure comprehensive project completion.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage operational vendor relationships to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Technology Discovery and Recommendations: Lead the team in discovering new technologies and/or modules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Three (3) years of application/business/systems analyst experience in a financial industry environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations or a related field.
  • Direct Wealth Management experience, including exposure to and understanding of Wealth Management structure/operations.
  • Knowledge of SQL, SAS Visual Analytics, SSRS, or other reporting technology.
  • Knowledge of BlackDiamond Wealth Platform, Innotrust, and Salentica Elements.
