About the position

The position involves developing cost-effective software solutions for critical real-time banking systems. The role requires collaboration with users, business analysts, and other developers to determine requirements and implement effective solutions. The candidate will also work with vendors to install and maintain both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and in-house developed systems, ensuring thorough testing, debugging, documentation, and implementation of complex software applications. Additionally, the role may include coordinating project activities and providing training and direction to team members, with responsibilities extending to production support.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, codes, tests, and documents complex enhancements made to new and/or existing systems, both in-house and COTS.
• Participates in production support: troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Demonstrates proven knowledge in one or more applications or systems.
• Designs, codes, tests, and implements application programs in accordance with requirements and standards.
• Produces accurate, readable documentation related to software systems.
• Identifies efficient and practical solutions to meet business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software development and application programming.
• Strong knowledge of COTS and in-house developed systems.
• Experience in testing, debugging, and documenting software applications.
• Ability to analyze user requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
