About the position

The Senior Applications Developer will be a key player in the Oracle Manufacturing Development team, part of the market-leading Supply Chain Management ERP Cloud. This role involves taking ownership of projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving transformational changes in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for developing cloud-based applications that enhance customer success through improved processes and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Work with a geographically dispersed team of engineers to see projects through to completion.
• Collaborate with product managers and QA owners to understand requirements and deliver user stories with high quality.
• Drive transformational changes in a technical environment.
• Exhibit expert knowledge in performance, system architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Develop scalable and reliable diagnostic instrumentation and supportability features.
• Discover technical requirements associated with new feature requests and provide alternative solutions.
• Lead design discussions for complex problems and share software engineering knowledge.
• Assist in hiring and developing technical talent.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-4 years of software development experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle (CICD).
• Experience designing and implementing solutions for Cloud platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS).
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Java Scripts is a must.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud applications or Oracle EBS Applications is advantageous.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical peers.
