About the position

The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to support a technology-based program for a key government customer. This role involves delivering engineering services for network infrastructure and enterprise computing, including modern application technologies and multi-Cloud services. The position offers a challenging and rewarding experience in a fast-paced environment, focusing on complex solutions for high-profile government programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software applications following the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Implement software design patterns and Agile development processes.
  • Ensure secure coding standards are adhered to in all development work.
  • Manage requirements creation and configuration management tools.
  • Utilize configuration/change management systems effectively.
  • Integrate and debug applications using integrated development environments (IDE).
  • Develop software tests and test-automation suites.
  • Provide maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing systems and platforms.

Requirements

  • 16+ years of relevant work experience in software development.
  • Experience with software design patterns and Agile development processes.
  • Knowledge of secure coding standards and requirements management.
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools and systems.
  • Experience in integration and debugging using IDEs.
  • Ability to develop software tests and test-automation suites.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ansible, or Java.
  • BA/BS Degree or five additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Cloud design, implementation, and configuration.
  • Familiarity with Security Development Operations (SecDevOps).
  • Experience integrating with third-party applications.
